Artwork #7 - Sweeping White - Oil on Wood - 18" x 24" - Original artwork - Abstract Expressionism
Title: Sweeping White
Painting: Oil on wood.
Inspiration for the work: Snow in a City at night.
'Sweeping White' is based on a cityscape at night with snow dust being carried in the wind. I used a band of ice-blue colored squares to represent snowflakes linking together in collective intent and waves of color dancing in reflection in the background.
With a matte finish, it measures 24 inches tall, 18 inches wide and 1 inch deep.
The sides are painted in black and white so the painting wraps around the edges.
It is signed with black paint by the artist and is ready to hang.
It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the artist.
This piece belongs to a body of work I created in the first 5 years of professionally painting. Each year is a series. This is the 2014 series.
This body of work was not available for purchase until now.
'Sweeping White' was completed January 20, 2014.
It is the 2nd piece out of 16 pieces created for the 2014 collection: Looking in, Looking out - series 2.
