Artwork #4 - Transparent Ant Cities - Oil on Wood - 24" x 24" - Original artwork - Abstract Expressionism
Title: Transparent Ant Cities
Painting: Oil on wood.
Inspiration for the work:
Injustices and World Affairs when transparency is like putting pure light which represents truth, on darkness or corruption. The 'city' is metaphoric for systems, organizations, societies etc.
The idea of an 'ant' city was chosen to represent the inner networking of cities and it's expressed as being transparent by using yellow paint as pure light in the form of sunlight passing through the structures, illuminating it.
It was created by priming, layering and stamping white and golden yellow oil paints onto a hard wood panel.
With a matte finish, it measures 24 inches tall, 24 inches wide and 1 inch deep.
The sides are painted white.
It is signed in red paint by the artist and ready to hang.
It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the artist.
